Dues should be paid by check made out to "Keller Communicators Toastmasters". Our club does not accept credit cards.
Explanation of the Dues Structure
Dues vary by Toastmasters club. Keller Communicators dues are $45 per 6 month period, prorated to the month you join. $27 of that goes to International and includes your monthly subscription to the Toastmasters magazine. $18 of that stays with our club to cover operating expenses and supplies. In addition:
If you have never been a Toastmaster before, there is an additional required one time $20 fee for materials and registration. This includes your "Basic" Communication and Leadership manual containing your first 10 speaking assignments. You only need to pay this fee once, for the first club you ever join. However...
If you have been a Toastmaster before, the $20 materials fee is optional. If you want another set of educational materials, you can opt to pay the $20 fee. If you'd prefer to use the materials you received with your previous membership, you can waive the $20 materials fee. Those materials are also purchasable separately via the Toastmasters supply catalog or on-line via Toastmasters International's website.
Memberships are renewed each March and September. If you join within 1-2 months of a renewal month, we prefer to collect your renewal for the following 6 months "up front".
When you join the club, you pay the full amount of dues (International + Club dues). Our club will then forward you application with just the International portion of your dues to Toastmasters International.
